According to tradition, the Easter festival will be over on 9 May, the day of victory over Nazi Germany in the 2nd World War. The initiator and artistic director of the festival, the outstanding conductor Valery Gergiev is giving two concerts on that day together with the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre orchestra.
