Three young foreigners intoxicated with a poisonous plant in Spain, took a boat to Alcoutim to ask for help after they began to feel ill.
The two young men and a young woman ingested a poisonous herb on a hill in Spain, near the Guadiana river.
“At first I thought it was a simple intoxication, however the health of the young people began to deteriorate while they were being assisted by the local fire department”, said an onlooker.
The two male victims were taken by ambulance to Faro Hospital and the young woman was transported by helicopter to the same health unit.
It is not yet known which plant it was that the youngsters ingested.
