The European Dating Awards is Europe’s only annual awards event for the online dating industry. After two successful years in the UK, this internationally recognised event has included the rest of the European continent for the first time in 2016.
Since its inception in 2009, Expatica Dating has earned several accolades for its success in the online dating industry.
Expatica’s expat dating site runs globally across 187 countries targeting single expatriates living in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Today the sites have a total of more than 310,000 expat members with around 8,000 new registrations every month.
Expatica Dating is an extension of Expatica.com, the leading news and information source for the international and expat community in Europe. Through its websites, Expatica reaches around three million internationals worldwide per month.
“From the moment Expatica was established in 2000, it has been our dual aim to provide expats with the news and information they need to set up their life abroad as well as to help them connect,” said operations manager Danielle de Groot.
“In doing so, we discovered that single expats face the added difficulty of meeting singles and figuring out how to go about dating in their new country, as etiquette and rules vary widely. We set up Expatica Dating to help them find their way through this minefield and into a loving and fulfilling relationship while living abroad.”
There are 10 different categories in this year’s dating awards, including Best Niche Dating Site, Online Dating Brand of the Year, Dating App of the Year, Dating Expert of the Year and Best New Dating App among others.
Winners will be announced on the evening of 12 May following the Global Dating Insights European Conference at the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
