RIJSWIJK – Geert Wilders wants to enter debate with opponents and supporters after the presentation of his film Fitna. The MP for the Freedom party PVV said this in an interview with press agency GPD on Thursday.
The debates should prevent discussion focusing only on any disturbance that the film may provoke, and thus overlooking the content of the film.
Wilders’ initiative to organise debate evenings comes in response to accusations that he is avoiding discussion with opponents.
"Let’s just sit down and talk with each other about what we think of these problems. I love debate and can handle some opposition. My opponents may call me crazy if they want, as long as there is no cursing and no threats."
