Man overpowered while trying to hijack Alitalia flight

A man with a knife who tried to hijack an Alitalia flight en route from Paris to Rome Sunday night, demanding that he be taken to Libya, was overpowered by staff and passengers. Police said the man, 48, was a Kazakh citizen working in Paris.
