Choplin to lead Paris’ Chatelet Theatre

PARIS, Jan 20 (AFP) – Former deputy chairman of Disneyland-Paris, Jean-Luc Choplin, was named Tuesday as the new head of Paris’ Chatelet Theatre.

Choplin, 55, who currently runs the Sadler’s Wells threatre in London will take over from Jean-Pierre Brossmann in July 2006, the theatre said.

He was also head of the National Marseille Ballet-Roland Petit from 1980-1984 followed by director of the Ballet at Paris’ Opera theatre until 1989.
