HUELVA – A retired police officer shot dead a woman and injured two others in a bar Friday, police sources said.
The 63-year-old officer took out his pistol and opened fire in a bar in the town of Santa Olalla de Cala, near Huelva, in western Spain.
The murdered woman has not been named.
A 52-year-old man and a woman aged 46 were hit by bullets but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The man was taken by helicopter to a hospital and the woman was rushed by ambulance to another hospital.
Immediately after the shooting the retired police officer was arrested.
Police said it was not clear why he had shot the woman.
The incident took place at about 10.15am, police told EFE.
