HAMBURG – World champion Michael Schumacher expects Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang to show whether the opposition is in a position to challenge him and Ferrari for this season’s title.
“In Sepang we’ll see where we stand,” said the Ferrari driver, who easily won the first race of the season – the Australian Grand Prix on 7 March – with teammate Rubens Barrichello second.
“If we we’re fighting for a win there, then it’s looking good for us. However, if we’re a bit off the pace then it’ll be difficult,” he said on his homepage.
“My experience tells me that everything can change quite quickly because in recent years we’ve mostly done well in Australia,” concluded the 35-year-old German.
