DRESDEN – British filmmaker Robert Morgan’s stop-action animation film “The Separation” have taken top honours at the 16th Dresden Animation Film Festival evening in the feature-length category.
Short-film honours went to Mexican director Michel Franco for his film “Entre Dos” about parents seeking an organ donor for their stricken child.
Morgan’s feature was lauded for its “sensitive yet moving” story of the separation of Siamese twins.
Some 300 entries from 30 countries were screened at this year’s festival.
