BRUSSELS – Consumer electronics firm Philips is planning to shift 130 jobs from its plant in Knox County, Tennessee, to Belgium.
The move is designed to help cut costs, the Dutch-owned firm said in a statement.
The Tennessee jobs will be shifted in April and include engineering and electronics positions, Philips added.
The new posts in Belgium will be created at one of the company’s research facilities.
