The Montgomery International School offers the International Baccalaureate programme in French and also bilingually in both French and English. Located in the heart of Brussels, Montgomery International School is the first French private school to be recognised by the International Baccalaureate.
We prepare students for exams in the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We also prepare students for the Jury Central examinations by the Communaute Francaise.
All students around the world following the IB programme are tested in the same way and the exams take place in our school. The Jury Central exams take place at the Communaute Francaise.
Enrolment is open for the educational year 2015–2016.
The curriculum
From their first year (year 8), students follow a progamme of study in English, and are completely immersed in the language. It is also possible to arrange one or two hours of Dutch and/or Spanish per week according to student demand.
From their third year, students will be able to choose between a Literal or Scientific programme. At the end of their study, students will have obtained either a French diploma or a bilingual diploma (French/English). The IB bilingual diploma is recognised around the world as well as in British and American Universities.
About École Internationale Montgomery
The school was founded in 2007 by Mr David Gerone, who graduated from the Polytechnic School of the ULB, Brussels. Mr David Gerone wanted to open his own school to offer a different style of teaching from that provided by formal education. His dream was to create a school that can offer students quality education according to their needs.
Since it was established, Montgomery International School students have been characterised by their diversity and enriched profiles. Our students have been identified as gifted, international children from varying cultural backgrounds. Students whose parents are looking for a bilingual education, and seeking an enhanced and more personalised teaching style will find themselves well suited to our school. Montgomery International School also caters for students who have been discouraged by the traditional education system, and students that have to deal with dyslexia, dyspraxia, Asperger, HDAD, and ADD.
Every student is different and requires special attention. It is for this reason that every part of Montgomery International School, from the science lab to the library, is designed to allow everyone to thrive and succeed. Teaching is personalised; and all of our teachers are university educated and continue to develop professionally through enhanced training organised by the IB.
