BRUSSELS – The parents of 18-year-old Annick Van Uytsel will make an appeal to their daughter from the police station in Diest later today.
In the meantime the search for the girl continues this evening and most likely tomorrow. The department of missing persons is coordinating the search around the Halen area.
“We are searching a larger area than where we were focusing on Monday and basing our search on the telephone data from the girl’s mobile,” spokesperson for the public prosecution department Patrick Vits explained.
“The missing persons department is coordinating the search with the help of the West-Limburg police and volunteers. We deployed a helicopter over the area this morning as well but didn’t find anything.”
