AMSTERDAM – A class of secondary students at the Martinus College in Grootebroek was inadvertently exposed to a sex chat in which their teacher was engaged. The computer on which the English teacher was communicating with an allegedly underage girl was attached to a beamer. The school has suspended the teacher.
The instructor was unaware that the class was able to look on as he chatted online.
Insiders cited by the Noordhollands Dagblad say the man was chatting with a 12-year-old. The child was not a student at the school, the general director of the Martinus College said on Friday.
The school administration was immediately informed of the incident before the Christmas break.
The director described the incident as extremely inappropriate and the school has started a procedure to dismiss the teacher.
